Team Leader – Operations

Overview

In this role you lead the invoice finance operations in Manchester, overseeing transaction processing across the own and company portfolio and ensuring accurate, timely documentation. You balance service delivery with risk controls to protect the debt purchased while supporting client retention. You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to strategy, and drive KPIs at board level. This is a growth-focused leadership role within a growing commercial finance provider.

Responsibilities

• ManageTransaction processing for own and company portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timely client schedules with correct documentation
• Process client payments accurately and meet internal/external deadlines
• Support operations team and ensure procedures are followed
• Portfolio management focused on service quality and risk, verifying invoices and supporting documents
• Monitor risk using multiple tools and support the wider team
• Drive client retention and handle client complaints in partnership with Relationship Management
• Line manage CC or RM team; ensure standards, KPIs, and company values are upheld; recruit, train, and develop direct reports
• Participate in senior leadership activities; shape strategy, track department KPIs, drive performance improvements, and foster a positive culture
