Pre-Sales Senior Engineer

Overview

In this role you will act as a developer-plus technical contributor at the intersection of product engineering and go-to-market. You will build high-quality mock backends, APIs, and demo infrastructure, accelerated by GenAI to create production-shaped assets for credible client validation. You’ll collaborate across design, product, and sales to translate client needs into working technical artefacts and engaging demonstrations. You will mentor peers, set pre-sales engineering standards, and evangelize GenAI workflows to bridge slides and software.

Responsibilities

• AI-Accelerated Prototyping: use LLMs to scaffold and iterate PoCs and mock services
• Technical Asset Development: build reusable mock services in Node.js / TypeScript with REST/GraphQL APIs
• Infrastructure as Code: manage demo environments with Terraform and secure deployments
• Frontend Collaboration: align UI with mock services and support end-to-end demos
• Strategic Pre-Sales Support: translate win themes into technical artefacts and demonstrate value to clients
• Product & UX Influence: collaborate with Design and Product to guide UI directions
• Mentorship & Standards: set engineering standards and mentor others on API design
• AI Evangelism: lead GenAI workflows within Commercial and train teams

Key requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js / TypeScript and React
• Deep experience with GenAI and building PoCs using AI-first workflows
• Experience designing clean APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and Git/GitHub workflows
• Knowledge of AWS and deploying infrastructure with Terraform
