Company: Clinical Partners
Apply for the Account Manager – Public Sector Partnerships
Location: London
Job Description:

We’re looking for commercially minded Account Managers to help us strengthen, grow and diversify our partnerships across the NHS and wider public sector.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building senior relationships but is equally motivated by creating opportunities and delivering growth. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of existing and prospective public sector accounts within a defined geographical region, developing trusted partnerships, identifying opportunities for service expansion and securing new business across both existing and emerging service lines.

Working closely with Clinical, Operational, Finance and Commercial colleagues, you’ll develop account strategies, build commercial pipelines and lead opportunities from initial engagement through to implementation. This includes developing proposals and business cases, supporting bids and tenders, negotiating solutions with partners and helping to secure sustainable growth.

Success will be measured through the strength of your relationships, retention and growth of existing contracts, the opportunities you create and convert, and the commercial outcomes you help deliver.

As part of a growing Account Management function, you’ll play an important role in shaping how we work with our public sector partners and helping to drive the next phase of growth at Clinical Partners.

If you’re proactive, commercially focused and motivated by turning relationships into meaningful partnerships and measurable results, we’d love to hear from you.

This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to regional customer meetings and events, together with periodic team meetings in London.

  • Support contract retention and identify opportunities for new activity, service expansion, pathway development and sustainable account growth.
  • Develop proposals, commercial cases and growth opportunities that support organisational objectives and customer needs.
  • Build and manage a commercial pipeline, taking ownership of opportunities and progressing them from initial discussion through to implementation.
  • Support bids, tenders, contract negotiations and other commercial activity as required.
  • Monitor contractual and service performance, coordinating timely responses to commissioner requirements and agreed actions.
  • Manage service issues, complaints, risks and escalations, bringing together the right teams to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Keep close to developments across the healthcare and wider public sector landscape, identifying emerging priorities, system pressures and partnership opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively across Clinical, Operational, Finance and Commercial teams to deliver for our partners and convert opportunities into sustainable growth.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, pipeline updates, risks and actions, providing clear and timely updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Work towards agreed growth objectives and performance targets within your account portfolio.
