Sales Engineer

• Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
• Duration: Placement year, full-time
• Working pattern: Three days per week on-site

An international engineering organisation is seeking a Sales Application Engineering placement student to support its power systems team.

You will provide technical support to dealers and distributors, help deliver technical seminars, and work with engineering teams and factories worldwide. Responsibilities include sourcing and interpreting technical data, supporting departmental projects and completing tasks both independently and collaboratively.

You must meet ALL the criteria below to be considered. If you do not meet every requirement, you will not be invited to interview.

• Relevant degree: Are you currently studying towards a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering?
• Placement eligibility: Are you eligible to undertake a placement year as part of your degree?
• Availability: Can you commit to a full-time placement year starting in summer 2027?
• Location and attendance: Can you work on-site in Peterborough three days per week, arranging your own travel or relocation? Relocation support is not provided.
• Communication: Do you have good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with colleagues and external contacts?
• Microsoft Office: Do you have good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel?
• Attitude and development: Can you demonstrate a flexible, proactive approach, with a willingness to learn new skills and take on responsibility?

Desirable, but not essential: CAD skills.
