In-house counsel – Derivatives & Loans

We are working with a leading financial services organisation who is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its Markets Legal team, advising on complex equity transactions across EMEA.

The role covers equity derivatives, LMA based margin lending and strategic equity financing, with exposure to legal, regulatory and commercial matters.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise on transactions from inception through to execution.
• Draft and negotiate complex documentation.
• Advise on equity derivatives, margin loans and security arrangements.
• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks.
• Work closely with business, compliance and international legal teams.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with 4+ years’ PQE.
• Strong derivatives experience, ideally including OTC equity derivatives and ISDA documentation or loans, particularly margin loans experience.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant UK/EU financial markets regulation.
