Internal Growth Execution Level 3 Apprenticeship 2027 – London

Company: Howden
Apply for the Internal Growth Execution Level 3 Apprenticeship 2027 – London
Location: London
Job Description:

Help Shape How a Global Business Grows

Ready to earn, learn and launch your career? This is more than your first job. You’ll gain real experience, work towards a recognised qualification and build skills that will shape your future.

A client may already work with one part of Howden but could benefit from expertise elsewhere in the business. Our Internal Growth team spots these opportunities, connects the right people and helps turn ideas into action. You’ll be working within an insurance broking business, but this is a strategic role rather than an insurance broking position.

You’ll work across our Retail business, collaborate with senior leaders and help teams work together to support existing clients and grow the business. From tracking results and creating campaigns to preparing presentations and supporting projects, you’ll gain a broad view of Howden and see the impact of your work.

You’ll join Howden on a permanent role and complete an 18-month development programme designed to develop your technical knowledge, professional skills and confidence to kick start your career.

What you’ll be doing?

You will begin with a structured induction before joining our Internal Growth team, where you will work alongside experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.

During the programme, you’ll:

  • Learn how to use data to track activity, monitor progress and help the team understand what is working well.
  • Support campaigns that encourage teams across Howden to identify and share opportunities for existing clients.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create engaging communications.
  • Support with preparing clear presentations and updates for meetings with senior stakeholders.
  • Play a core role in key meetings by taking accurate notes and following up on agreed actions.
  • Build your insurance knowledge through formal learning and practical experience with colleagues across the business.

Who are we looking for?

No insurance experience is needed; we’ll teach you everything you need to know!

You’ll be:

  • Curious and keen to learn about how a business grows.
  • Confident communicating with different people and able to build positive working relationships.
  • Comfortable looking at information and data to spot patterns, gaps or opportunities.
  • Creative and willing to bring your fresh ideas to the table.
  • Organised and able to manage several tasks while keeping track of deadlines.
  • A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and sees work through to completion.
  • Adaptable and able to stay calm when priorities change or challenges arise.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and ready to contribute as part of a wider team.

To be eligible for our apprenticeship, you must:

  • Have the full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
  • Have lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.
  • Have achieved a grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
  • Not already hold a qualification that significantly overlaps with the content of this apprenticeship.

Why should you apply?

At Howden, people are at the heart of everything we do. As an employee-owned business, we believe success is built through collaboration, learning and supporting one another. You’ll gain exposure to an exciting global industry, receive structured development throughout the summer and build relationships that could shape your future career.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • £23,000 and a generous pension scheme.
  • Completing fully funded professional qualifications relevant for your role.
  • Structured learning and development through our 18-month apprenticeship development programme.
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Access to discounted personal health policies, wellbeing support and a range of employee benefits and insurance products.

Please read before submitting: You may only apply to one apprenticeship programme for our 2027 intake. Submitting duplicate applications will result in additional applications not being considered.
