Senior Research Analyst

Overview

In this Senior Equity Research role, you will own global sector coverage and develop high-conviction investment views. You’ll work closely with portfolio managers to shape research ideas and engage management as part of active stewardship. You’ll mentor junior analysts and help advance our research process with new tools and approaches. This position sits at the heart of L&G’s significant equity research capability, supporting long-term value creation across markets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental and valuation analysis across global equities
• Develop clear, high-conviction investment views for PMs
• Own agreed global sectors and contribute to thematic research
• Collaborate on long-term structural themes across asset classes
• Develop company engagement priorities for active portfolios
• Engage management teams alongside Investment Stewardship colleagues
• Coach junior analysts and support their development
• Enhance the research process with new thinking, technology and analytical tools

Key requirements

• Significant experience in fundamental equity research in senior buy-side or sell-side roles
• Strong financial-statement analysis and company valuation capability
• Evidence of independent, well-supported investment views
• Current knowledge of global equity markets and sector dynamics
• Ability to communicate and challenge senior investment stakeholders constructively
• Experience coaching or leading other analysts
• Strong written, presentation and organisational skills
