Responsibilities

• Define and pursue core research questions across philosophy, governance, and AI ethics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to develop innovative research solutions.
• Conduct experiments and build infrastructure for evaluating AGI-related hypotheses.
• Map potential AGI outcomes and contribute to measurement frameworks for systematic evaluation.

Key requirements

• PhD in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years of research experience in value alignment, AI institutions and governance, human-AI relationships, or societal impact of AGI
• Experience working with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

• Effective communication of research findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Cross-functional collaboration across timezones
• Ability to identify core research questions and translate them into actionable studies
• Strong track record of publishing on AI-related topics
