Overview

As a Senior Software Developer at Leidos UK, you design, build and maintain software components and integrations for ESCS. You work within a multidisciplinary agile team, following architecture, engineering, security and quality standards. You translate stories into secure, testable software and contribute to testing, documentation and operational readiness. You collaborate across analysis, architecture, testing, data and infrastructure to continuously improve the platform and engineering practices. You will help deliver scalable software that supports sourcing, procurement, inventory, planning and order management, contributing to a mission-driven, collaborative tech culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications, APIs, integrations and supporting components
• Write clean, secure and testable code using agreed patterns and standards
• Create and maintain unit tests and contribute to integration test automation
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, estimation and backlog refinement
• Use Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy changes
• Investigate defects and support root-cause analysis
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to operational readiness
• Continuously improve knowledge of the platform, domain and engineering toolchain
