Senior Manager, Operational Resilience

Overview

In this role you will shape RBC Europe’s operational resilience, business continuity and incident management. You’ll design annual resilience cycles, build impactful dashboards, and drive improvements across risk, COO and front-office teams. You’ll lead crisis responses and ensure regulatory compliance, delivering trusted stability for clients and the business. This senior role offers influence across wealth management operations and a chance to set resilience standards at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the annual Operational Resilience cycle from critical-operations focus to testing and tolerance setting
• Create dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to inform leadership and enable action
• Drive continuous improvement by embedding best practices and evolving the approach
• Identify risks and blockers early, escalating to the right stakeholders
• Bridge COO, Risk, and Front Office teams for aligned execution
• Maintain Business Continuity Management including plans, impact assessments, and regular tests
• Lead Incident Management, coordinating response teams during issues
• Provide internal and external expertise on Operational Resilience, Business Continuity and Incident Management

Key requirements

• Proven track record managing Operational Resilience in large, complex, high-stakes organizations
• Deep expertise in building management information systems and meaningful KPIs that drive action
• Solid grasp of wealth management operations—from settlements and advice through to portfolio and client service
• Ability to lead effectively both directly and across matrix relationships, with high standards throughout
• Credibility with senior stakeholders and external parties; relationship-building is second nature
• Strong foundation in risk methodologies and business process understanding
