Project Controls Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead the Project Control function for a major FPSO project in Aberdeen, ensuring cost, schedule, risk, and change controls align with client procedures. You will work within the PDE Project Management Team to safeguard contractual commitments and deliverables, driving timely reporting and governance. You’ll shape project controls processes, monitor performance, and support milestone achievement across multiple interfaces. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Project Control activities (cost/invoicing, planning, risk, change management)
• Maintain Change and VOR/VO management system
• Monitor progress vs plan and produce status reports (EV/MVV)
• Manage WBS/CBS structures and ensure cost control and planning compliance
• Support contracts and project director in organization, execution plan, and milestone achievement
• Approve invoices and participate in contract variation negotiations
• Interface with Contractor Group and Client for project control
• Oversee project reporting and cost forecasting / remaining to complete

Key requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as Project Control Manager
• Minimum 15 years’ experience within project control
• Contract and contractor management experience
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Experience with international shipyards or offshore fabrication facilities
• Proactive, systematic, and multi-tasking with strong analytical skills
• Experience with PIMS cost management system
• Experience with Primavera P6
