Director – Structured Derivatives Product Control

In this Director-level role, you own the P&L and control framework for the Structured Derivatives and Solutions business, partnering with Front Office, Risk and Valuations to ensure accurate reporting and robust controls. You will drive balance sheet substantiation and lead finance transformation initiatives within a global trading environment. The position offers high visibility with senior stakeholders and a chance to shape product control processes and infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Own daily P&L production, reconciliation and control for Structured Derivatives and Solutions products
• Validate valuation adjustments (CVA, DVA, FVA, Bid/Offer) with Front Office, Risk and Valuations
• Provide commercial insight by analyzing desk profitability and cost allocations
• Oversee month-end accounting adjustments for OTC derivatives and Structured Notes
• Deliver robust balance sheet substantiation, reconciliations and P&L commentary
• Identify and resolve trade, valuation and portfolio discrepancies
• Drive Finance transformation initiatives to improve processes, controls and automation
• Support development of trade flows between Front Office platforms and the General Ledger
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Finance, Trading, Operations, Technology and Risk
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Significant Product Control experience in a banking or financial markets environment
• Strong knowledge of Structured Derivatives (ideally Structured Equities and Structured Notes)
• In-depth understanding of derivatives P&L, Greeks, valuations, reconciliations and balance sheet controls
• Familiarity with CVA, DVA, FVA and Bid/Offer
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders in Front Office, Risk and Finance
• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
• Experience delivering process improvements or finance transformation initiatives
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with trading systems for Front Office and Back Office
• Experience with Sophis, Python, SQL or Alteryx would be advantageous
