Lead Business Analyst (Pega)

Overview

In this role you will lead requirements quality, backlog management, and delivery readiness for a major public sector transformation programme. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and delivery teams to shape user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability. You will map citizen journeys, identify cross-team gaps, and facilitate workshops across multiple suppliers to align on scope and feasibility. This position offers an impact-driven path to scale transformations using Pega within a collaborative, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead backlog grooming, scope definition, and delivery prioritisation
• Develop high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria
• Map customer/citizen journeys and identify cross-team process gaps
• Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and development teams
• Manage requirements traceability and compliance
• Facilitate workshops and drive consensus across multiple suppliers and delivery teams
• Assess scope feasibility and delivery readiness across Agile workstreams

Key requirements

• 12+ years of Business Analysis experience in Agile environments
• 9+ years of hands-on Pega Business Analysis experience
• Strong expertise in backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability
• Experience in large-scale public sector transformation programmes
• Excellent stakeholder management and Agile/Scrum delivery experience
