Assistant Logistics Manager

Overview

In this role, you will support site facilities, resources and welfare, working with the logistics leadership team to uphold health and safety standards. You will plan labour, coordinate welfare set-ups and administration, and drive environmental improvements across projects. You’ll engage with site teams, attend meetings to align welfare requirements, and travel across the Anglian Water region. This is a hands-on opportunity to impact safety, efficiency and carbon reduction on major highways schemes.

Responsibilities

• Champion health and safety through alerts and briefings
• Plan and organise labour to use resources efficiently and cost-effectively
• Coach and oversee team performance to meet goals
• Attend site meetings to understand welfare and electrical power needs
• Drive environmental improvements and reduce carbon emissions
• Plan and coordinate welfare set-ups and keep project teams informed
• Maintain accurate daily records and complete required administration on time

Key requirements

• Knowledge of groundworks
• Experience with HIAB or crane lifting
• Strong communication with confidence to lead and coordinate others
• Ability to work to tight timeframes and manage changing priorities
• Positive, practical and solutions-focused
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Willingness to travel extensively across the Anglian Water region
