Legal Counsel (Remote)

Overview

As Legal Counsel, you will support a UK-focused, remote legal function for a private, international secure logistics provider. You will handle commercial and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating with global commercial, compliance and operations teams. You will shape contracts and policies to meet business needs, while managing external counsel and delivering practical legal guidance. This role offers long-term stability in a lean team, with meaningful impact on cross-border operations.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including customer service contracts, subcontractor agreements and NDAs
• Adapt and develop contract templates for specific business and client needs
• Draft letters, legal responses and internal communications
• Review contracts and legal opinions and advise on a broad range of legal issues
• Review and draft compliance policies
• Manage communication with external counsel
• Conduct legal research on diverse, cross-jurisdictional matters

Key requirements

• UK-qualified solicitor
• 4 to 10 years PQE
• trained in private practice
• strong background in commercial contracts
• capable of working independently within a lean structure
• in-house experience is advantageous
