Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic legal advice on privacy, data protection and related business initiatives
• Support development and delivery of privacy strategies aligned with commercial goals
• Identify, assess and manage legal, regulatory, financial and reputational risks across key programs
• Build strong stakeholder relationships ensuring timely, business‑oriented guidance
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve strategic goals and promote best practices
• Contribute to training, guidance and awareness on legal/privacy requirements
• Drive improvements in legal processes through simplification, automation and scalable self‑service solutions
• Coordinate with external partners, suppliers and advisors to support commercial objectives
• Monitor regulatory developments and share insights to keep the business ahead of trends
• Support a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing and innovation within the Legal team

Key requirements

• Qualified lawyer with in‑house or private practice experience
• Experience or interest in privacy, data protection and regulatory compliance
• Understanding of telecommunications or technology sector, or willingness to develop expertise
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance legal risk with opportunity
• Ability to manage workload, take ownership and progress matters proactively
• Confident relationship‑builder with stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Effective communicator able to simplify complex legal concepts for diverse audiences
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a practical, risk‑based approach
