Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

In this role you support manufacturing operations by resolving build quality issues, improving tooling and processes, and ensuring smooth introduction of product changes. You will investigate, plan, and implement new engineering methods and tooling in collaboration with manufacturing teams. The role emphasizes lean thinking, problem solving, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive quality, safety, and efficiency on the shop floor. This is a hands‑on, impact‑driven position within Terex’s manufacturing culture.

Responsibilities

• Identify and eliminate waste in response to takt time variation
• Define and implement build processes aligned with Health & Safety and Quality standards
• Maintain and improve process documentation with visual management
• Apply lean principles and problem solving tools to address takt time and build quality issues
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems and Cost of Quality, lead problem solving teams as needed
• Sign product change notifications after feasibility analysis and assess process/assembly implications
• Highlight tooling requirements and assess Health & Safety implications for changes
• Manage BOMs and material movement for parts
• Develop ergonomic processes using Lean principles (Yamazumi, 5S)
• Coordinate with cross‑functional projects to transfer information across the facility
• Serve as department representative on major projects and adapt to workload demands
• Contribute to projects outside primary area when needed

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role
• Industrial engineering techniques
