Expert Associate Consultant, Tech Insights Group

Overview

In this role, you join Bain’s Tech Insights Group to support tech-focused diligence and value creation for private equity clients. You will work with a global team of experts to assess software, architectures, and technology strategies across leading tech-enabled companies. Your analyses will drive actionable recommendations and strategic insights for clients and deal teams. This is a growth-focused opportunity to shape technology decisions in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary and secondary research across quantitative and qualitative data sources
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap assessments, including capabilities, positioning, and viability
• Contribute to technology strategy and roadmap assessments—architecture, technical debt, hosting, and security
• Develop and communicate insights and recommendations to case teams, technology leaders, and PE investors

Key requirements

• Undergraduate/Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Penultimate year of study or less than two years of full-time work experience
• Passion for software and tech industry
• Ability to absorb and interpret technical information
• Client service orientation and emotional intelligence
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Analytical and data-driven mindset
• Entrepreneurial mindset and teamwork
• Alignment with Bain operating principles
• Fluency in English (French/German a plus)
