PDE Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help shape next-gen gas turbine technology in a multidisciplinary team at Belcan’s Glasgow site. You’ll design components and subsystems for advanced engines and support design releases across the product lifecycle. Collaborating with stakeholders, you’ll translate requirements into practical solutions using Siemens NX and Teamcenter. This is a hands-on, impact-led position within cutting-edge turbine programmes that values engineering excellence and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed component and subsystem designs for advanced gas turbine engines
• Support design release activities throughout the product lifecycle
• Navigate gated design review processes with multiple stakeholders
• Translate technical requirements into practical engineering solutions
• Use Siemens NX and Teamcenter for design work
• Contribute to challenging projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment

Key requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or related Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in Gas Turbine design within Aerospace or Power Generation
• Strong capability in component and/or subsystem design
• Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers and internal teams
