Data Product Manager

Overview

In this Data Product Manager role within the Data and AI team, you translate colleagues’ data needs into a clear roadmap for data products that unlock insights and value. You will lead discovery with stakeholders, collaborate across a multi-skilled team, and drive delivery from ideation to implementation. You’ll monitor progress, manage the backlog, and champion innovation to help Co-op make data-informed decisions. This hybrid Manchester-based role offers meaningful impact at scale within a purpose-driven, member-owned organisation.

Responsibilities

• Shape and share a clear data product roadmap aligned with Co-op’s strategy
• Lead discovery workshops to understand colleagues’ data needs
• Collaborate with a multi-skilled team to deliver robust data products
• Monitor delivery progress and keep stakeholders informed
• Manage the backlog and prioritise work by value
• Inspire colleagues to innovate and showcase benefits of the work

Key requirements

• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to build data product roadmaps
• Experience delivering data products that impact business and financial performance
• Experience prioritising workload in line with business value and impact
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI and MicroStrategy)
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Good communication and relationship-building skills
