Field Service Engineer (Refrigeration)

Overview

In this role you will service, maintain and optimise industrial refrigeration systems across customer sites, focusing on ammonia and CO2 installations. You will join a mobile engineering team and contribute to high-quality fault-finding, repairs and preventive maintenance. You’ll work independently at sites, communicate with customers, and support wider technical improvements. This is a hands-on, field-based position with regional travel and a clear impact on uptime and safety for critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain industrial refrigeration systems
• Fault-find and repair faults on ammonia/CO2 systems
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and inspections
• Conduct compressor overhauls and respond to breakdowns/call-outs
• Communicate with customers and complete service reports
• Support the wider engineering team with system improvements and technical solutions

Key requirements

• Industrial refrigeration engineering experience
• Experience with Ammonia and/or CO2 refrigeration systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently at customer sites
• Full UK driving licence
• F-Gas certification
• Comfort with travel and mobile role
