To strengthen our team at Power CSL near Rochester, Kent, we are looking for a committed professional to manage production planning, material control and procurement for submarine cable repair solutions as
Buyer and Production Planner (m/f/d)
Ihr Aufgabengebiet:
- Plan and schedule the production of customised submarine cable repair joints and assemblies
- Ensure material availability and manage inventory, order status, bills of materials and routings in the ERP/MRP system
- Source from specialised suppliers and negotiate prices, lead times and delivery terms
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, on‑time delivery and technical capability
- Coordinate transport, import and export activities, including documentation
- Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Production, Quality and Finance
- Continuously improve planning, procurement and inventory processes
Ihre Qualifikation:
- Experience in production planning and/or procurement in a specialised manufacturing or engineering environment
- Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems, technical drawings and bills of materials
- Strong organisational, analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Hands‑on, detail-oriented and solution‑focused approach
- Experience in subsea, offshore or cable technology and a relevant qualification would be advantageous
- Unrestricted and permanent right to work in the United Kingdom
