In this role you will support the Development Finance team to structure lending solutions and build industry expertise. You will work with Senior and Relationship Directors to source, assess, and progress property development loans toward completion. You will engage with clients and brokers, oversee valuations and monitoring reports, and ensure smooth progression through legal and credit processes. The position sits at the intersection of relationship management, credit assessment, and portfolio oversight, contributing to Shawbrook’s growth in development finance. Responsibilities
- Assist Senior and Relationship Directors in handling new enquiries, initial assessments, and Heads of Terms where applicable
- Support production of credit proposals
- Attend client/broker meetings on-site as needed
- Oversee valuation and monitoring surveyor reports and advise the Credit function
- Collaborate with Loan Support Team to progress facilities to legal completion
- Ensure data accuracy in operating systems and correct documentation issuance
Key requirements
- Strong understanding of the UK property development finance market with relevant experience
- Proven experience writing credit papers
- Ability to analyse complex financial information and assess development risks
- Commercial acumen with a focus on responsible lending
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
- Experience in relationship management / portfolio management and development finance
