Head of Product, Payments and Risk | PE-backed treasury SaaS | London, hybrid | up to £150,000 | reporting to the CPO
About the opportunity
A leading, PE-backed B2B SaaS platform in the corporate treasury and payments space is creating a new Head of Product to own the commercial future of its payments and risk portfolio. Payments is where the business was born: it operates as a global payments hub for some of the largest enterprises in the world, connecting to their banks and ERPs and processing their payments. It is now investing heavily in AI, automation, new payment types and digital assets. Client name shared with shortlisted candidates.
Why this role matters
This role takes that foundation and leads its next chapter: scaling and re-commercialising existing products, and an ambitious innovation agenda across new payment types, digital assets and stablecoin solutions, and AI-led capabilities embedded in enterprise workflows. Today a large share of customer payments are still made manually. The ambition is payments that just arrive, with AI resolving the many reasons a payment can fail, and new commercial models to match, including pricing linked to successful outcomes rather than connections or volume. Risk, fraud and sanctions sit inside your remit, treated as product, not just controls.
What you will own
- Vision and strategy: the 3 year vision, strategy and product KPIs for payments and risk, tied to the financial plan.
- Pricing and packaging: portfolio-level pricing, packaging and monetisation, including new outcome-based models.
- New payment types: shaping where the business goes on digital assets, stablecoins and AI-led payment routing.
- Risk as product: fraud and sanctions treated as product capabilities.
- Business cases and ROI: owning the case for major initiatives and tracking outcomes against assumptions.
- Launch and partnerships: commercialisation readiness and partnerships with banks, financial institutions and fintechs.
- Cross-domain leadership: leading strategic payments and risk initiatives across the wider product organisation.
Who you are (essential)
- Deep domain experience in treasury, payments and commercial banking.
- Experience building or launching digital assets or stablecoin solutions.
- Senior product leadership in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, fintech, payments or banking, ideally within the Office of the CFO.
- A strong track record with pricing, packaging, monetisation and commercial product strategy.
- Experience building business cases, investment recommendations and ROI models.
- The ability to turn market insight, customer needs and commercial outcomes into clear product strategy.
- Hands-on use of AI in your product work.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence senior decision makers.
How you work
- A commercial product thinker who balances customer value, differentiation and revenue.
- A builder who ships, with the differentiated thinking to redesign how money moves rather than administer a roadmap.
- Data-led, a clear communicator, and happy to represent the business externally.
The package
London, hybrid. Up to £150,000. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer. A newly created, high-ownership role in a business investing seriously in AI and new payment types.
