Solution Architect

Overview

In this Solution Architect role, you shape end-to-end architectures for large-scale digital transformation programmes within a leading technology consultancy. You collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders and delivery leadership to define strategy, create architectural roadmaps and drive enterprise solutions. The role combines hands-on software background with architectural leadership across cloud, application and integration domains. You’ll influence standards and investment decisions to deliver complex systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architectures for transformation programmes
• Produce architecture artefacts, roadmaps and technical design documentation
• Lead technical discussions across application, integration and cloud domains
• Establish architectural standards and best practices with engineering teams
• Support technology strategy, delivery planning and investment decisions
• Engage with stakeholders across business and technology teams to drive outcomes

Key requirements

• Hands-on software engineering background
• Experience designing software, application and integration architectures
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture and solution design principles
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with TOGAF
• Understanding of service-oriented and integration-led architectures
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Consulting or client-facing experience advantageous
