Risk Control Testing – Vice President

Overview

In this role you will lead planning, execution and reporting of control testing for Citi’s Markets Trading and Sales businesses. You join a global 1LOD team responsible for a risk-based testing programme that supports ongoing control monitoring and risk management. You will coach a large team, maintain rigorous testing standards, and challenge control design with stakeholders across Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk. This is an opportunity to shape control effectiveness in a high‑impact, globally distributed environment and drive clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report control testing results
• Supervise and coach junior team members in testing
• Monitor testing programme execution to timelines and address obstacles
• Maintain high standards and best practices in testing activities
• Provide challenge to stakeholders on control design and effectiveness
• Support remediation activities identified through testing
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk
• Present impactful, concise testing outputs to stakeholders
• Serve as subject matter expert on Markets controls to stakeholders across all three lines of defence

Key requirements

• Experience in Front Office controls testing, internal/external audits, or similar control reviews
• Understanding of Markets activities and related regulations
• Knowledge of Markets Operational and Compliance risks and related controls
• Strong ability in control design assessment and testing techniques
• Experience coaching and developing team members
• Experience leading a team to deliver rigorous, detail-oriented work
• Experience building senior stakeholder relationships
• Proven track record of constructive challenge on risk management matters
