Salary & Contract

Scale 3, Point 4 – 5 including Fringe allowance. Actual Salary £9,116 – £9,255. Permanent.

Hours

15 hours per week, working pattern to be agreed with successful candidate between 8am‑4pm.

About the role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable technician to support the Science Department.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, store and dispose of chemicals safely in a laboratory environment.
• Provide relevant equipment, resources and chemicals to support classroom practical lessons.
• Set up apparatus for practical lessons.
• Assist across the science department with a range of duties.

Qualifications and experience

Knowledge of Health and Safety and experience handling chemicals in a laboratory setting.

Ability to work reliably and efficiently with students and staff.
