Your new role Working alongside experienced members of the management team, you will assist with the successful delivery of fit-out projects, supporting projects from the early planning stages through to responsibilities will include helping to coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring project programmes, assisting with procurement and ensuring information is communicated effectively between site teams, clients and other project will take an active role in monitoring quality, health & safety and progress on site, while helping to identify and resolve issues before they impact programme or delivery. The company’s project environment involves close coordination between subcontractors, suppliers and clients, with a strong focus on delivering work on time and to a high your experience develops, you will be given increased responsibility and the opportunity to take greater ownership of projects.
What you’ll need to succeed You will ideally have some previous experience within construction, fit-out or a related project delivery environment, perhaps as an Assistant Project Manager, Graduate Project Manager, Site Engineer, Assistant Site Manager or in another construction management capacity.A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous, although practical industry experience will be equally importantly, you should be organised, commercially aware and comfortable communicating with clients, subcontractors and colleagues. You’ll need a proactive attitude, good problem-solving skills and the ambition to develop into a rounded Project within commercial fit-out, interiors or refurbishment would be particularly relevant, but candidates from the wider building and construction sector who are keen to move into fit-out should also be considered.
