Overview
In this role you will lead process engineering delivery on Clean Water projects, guiding from feasibility through to design and implementation. You will shape solutions, perform design calculations, and ensure technical deliverables meet project requirements while coordinating with civil, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines. You’ll interact with clients, contractors and project managers to build strong relationships and advance projects across the North West. You will also mentor developing engineers and contribute to the growth of Stantec’s Clean Water capability in the region. Responsibilities
- Lead process engineering delivery on Clean Water projects across the lifecycle (feasibility to implementation)
- Develop process solutions and perform design calculations
- Prepare technical documentation and review deliverables for quality and compliance
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines to resolve technical challenges
- Engage with clients, contractors and project managers to build relationships and manage expectations
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers
- Contribute to construction and commissioning support as needed
Key requirements
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline
- Chartered Engineer (CEng)
- Strong experience in Clean Water process engineering within the UK water sector
- Practical experience of process design, treatment processes and/or water infrastructure projects
- Experience owning process engineering deliverables within multidisciplinary projects
- Knowledge of UK water industry standards, regulations and design principles
- Confident in communicating technical information to clients and stakeholders
- Able to guide less experienced engineers
