Associate Technical Director – EIA Consultant

Overview

As Associate Technical Director for EIA, you lead multi-disciplinary environmental assessment projects within Arcadis, helping win work and deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. You will manage client relationships, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive bid development and delivery. Your role bridges environmental planning with business growth, strengthening Arcadis’ reputation in the sector. You will stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends to support a strong professional profile at area level. You will shape projects that contribute to sustainable solutions and positive client impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery with focus on client satisfaction, governance, and cross-team collaboration
• Engage clients and stakeholders to align objectives and establish working protocols
• Select and develop project teams, ensuring capability and engagement with strategy and client needs
• Foster relationships across disciplines and with external partners to identify opportunities
• Lead specialist bid preparation to produce high-quality, winning proposals
• Coach and mentor specialists to support professional development
• Develop understanding of Arcadis services and client business to enhance credibility
• Stay updated on industry, technical, and regulatory developments and build professional profile
• Act with accountability per Arcadis General Business Principles

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Chartered status or equivalent, preferably with ISEP or equivalent
• Strong consulting skills including project management and client relationship management at senior level
• Experience managing business relationships at senior management level
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective technical, project management, client relationship management and commercial skills
• Excellent understanding and practice of Environmental, Safety and Risk Management
