Remote Legal Counsel role – 4+ years PQE

Overview

As Legal Counsel, you will support the business with complex commercial contracting and governance across EMEA and CIS. You will collaborate with in-house teams to manage contracts, regulatory assessments, and corporate maintenance for regional entities. You will advise on disputes, procurement, and market entry while coordinating with external counsel where specialist knowledge is needed. This role offers broad exposure to cross-border transactions and strategic initiatives within a Nasdaq-listed electronics designer/manufacturer. You will work closely with stakeholders to enable transactional success and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage purchase, sale, distribution, and service contracts in the EMEA region
• Draft and negotiate teaming, collaboration, and subcontract agreements with international partners
• Review material commercial contracts including sales, agency, distribution, and public procurement with EMEA & CIS governments and agencies
• Advise senior stakeholders to support transactional and strategic objectives
• Provide guidance on disputes arising in EMEA and support market entry initiatives
• Establish local entities and oversee corporate maintenance for EMEA regions
• Instruct and manage external counsel for matters requiring specialist knowledge
• Support corporate acquisitions, due diligence, and corporate documentation
• Assist Finance and HR with complex legal matters

Key requirements

• Solicitor, UK-qualified (or equivalent)
• at least four years PQE
• experience in commercial contracting, preferably in-house
• understanding of corporate governance
• ability to work autonomously at senior associate level
• willingness for infrequent international travel and in-person monthly meetings in London/Oxfordshire
