Senior Sales Manager

Overview

In this role you will drive growth for a defined region by promoting Rhenus logistics services and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. You will collaborate with local branch management and service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery, while maintaining an accurate CRM-driven view of pipeline and forecasts. You will design cost-effective logistics solutions and stay informed about competitive dynamics to protect and expand our market share. This position offers hands-on opportunity to shape regional growth and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote and develop full range of Overland services within a defined region
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation and closing deals
• Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline of high-value prospects
• Track sales activities and pipeline in the CRM with regular reports/forecasts to leadership
• Help design customized, innovative, and cost-effective logistics solutions
• Collaborate with local branch management, customer service, implementation and finance teams for onboarding and service delivery
• Ensure customers use Rhenus online tools Track and Trace and On-line booking platforms
• Maintain knowledge of the competition and marketplace
• Adhere to company compliance policy

Key requirements

• Minimum of 2 years logistics sales experience, preferably road freight
• Strong in Microsoft Office
• Track record of overachieving targets
• Proactive hunting mindset for new business and networking
• Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication across stakeholder levels
• Exceptional negotiation and persuasive skills
