Overview

In this Senior Business Analyst role, you shape technology platforms supporting essential services for millions of customers. You work within the Technology function, leading analysis across multi-workstream programmes and collaborating with architects, engineers and product owners. You translate strategic objectives and regulatory needs into concrete delivery artefacts, guiding decisions and ensuring value is delivered. You mentor others and operate across strategic and delivery levels to drive practical outcomes. Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis across complex, multi-workstream technology programmes
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and delivery leads to shape end-to-end solutions
• Own the analysis approach, setting standards and best practices for the BA community
• Facilitate high-impact workshops with senior stakeholders to define problems, outcomes, and options
• Translate strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs into delivery artefacts
• Define current-state and future-state processes, systems, and data flows
• Support prioritisation and decision-making, ensuring trade-offs and value optimisation
• Mentor and coach Business Analysts to uplift capability

Key requirements

• Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst in a technology-led environment
• Proven track record on complex systems, integrations, or large transformation programmes
• Strong experience in Agile or hybrid delivery at scale
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and influencing without authority
• Ability to move between strategic thinking and detailed delivery
• Pragmatic, outcomes-focused mindset with a focus on improving technology enablement
• Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance BA practice and governance
• Desirable: utilities, infrastructure, regulated industries experience
