Midweight Workplace Designer
London | Hybrid | Outside IR35 | Up to £260/day
A leading London design studio is looking for a talented Midweight Workplace Designer to join its team on a contract basis, with a day rate of up to £260/day.
This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with strong workplace experience and a proven ability to take projects from initial concept and creative development through to delivery. The studio is looking for someone who can contribute creatively, work confidently across all stages of a project, and bring a strong understanding of workplace design to a collaborative studio environment.
The Role
The successful designer will work across a range of workplace projects, developing thoughtful and considered design solutions from early-stage concepts through to detailed design and delivery.
You will work collaboratively with the wider design team, clients and consultants, contributing to the development of projects while maintaining a high level of design quality and attention to detail.
The Ideal Candidate
- Midweight-level experience within workplace/interior design
- Proven experience taking projects from concept through to delivery
- A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent workplace and commercial interior design
- Confident developing design concepts and translating them into considered, deliverable schemes
- Good understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, detailing and spatial planning
- Comfortable working across multiple project stages and managing deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Vectorworks experience is highly desirable
- Candidates without Vectorworks experience will also be considered where they have a strong portfolio with Workplace design and demonstrable willingness to learn the software
- London based and able to work from the studio as required
