Dispute Resolution Senior Associate

Overview

In this Senior Associate role, you will lead a varied dispute-resolution practice within a respected Scottish law firm. You’ll manage diverse cases from start to finish, including commercial and personal contracts, property, landlord/tenant matters, and professional negligence, with some motoring-related criminal defence. You’ll work closely with Partners and mentor junior team members, while enjoying autonomy and a supportive culture. Responsibilities

• Manage litigation from instruction to resolution
• Appear in the Sheriff Court
• Handle ADR matters including First Tier Tribunal proceedings and arbitrations
• Supervise, train and mentor Trainees and Junior Solicitors
• Build lasting client relationships through excellent, consistent service

Key requirements

• Solid experience in general and/or commercial litigation
• Advocacy experience in the Sheriff Court and/or First Tier Tribunal
• Confident, personable client-facing skills
• Strong organisation and time management
• Commercial nous and the judgement to work independently
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to support junior colleagues
