DevOps Engineer

Overview

In this role you will extend DevOps coverage for the London team and collaborate with North America to enhance CI/CD pipelines. You’ll manage Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Octopus Deploy, and optimize pipelines for .NET, Node.js, and legacy VB6 builds in Windows environments. You will write Groovy and PowerShell to automate deployments, participate in cross-regional releases, and improve release reliability. This is a hands-on, process-driven role that shapes how Corpay delivers secure, scalable software in a global payments context.

Responsibilities

• Administer Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Octopus Deploy including configuration, agents, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines using Groovy for .NET, Node.js, and VB6 builds with clear failure diagnostics.
• Build and maintain Octopus Deploy processes for consistent releases across dev, test, and production environments.
• Write PowerShell scripts to automate Windows build and deployment environments and reduce manual steps.
• Coordinate Bitbucket workflows with Jenkins and Octopus deployments, communicating changes with development teams.
• Manage deployment configuration, credentials, approvals, and release records with security and traceability.
• Diagnose build/deployment/environment issues during London hours and handover to North American colleagues.
• Support planned releases outside normal hours with deployment checks, rollback, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams to improve pipeline reliability and release practices.
• Maintain documentation for pipelines, deployment processes, operational support, and audit trails.

Key requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, build/release engineering with production CI/CD
• Hands-on experience with Groovy in Jenkins pipelines and Jenkins configuration
• Bitbucket administration and Git-based workflows
• Experience building deployment processes in Octopus Deploy
• Strong PowerShell scripting for Windows automation
• Experience building .NET and Node.js apps; VB6 legacy workflows supported (VB6 dev not required)
• Windows deployment troubleshooting, environment configuration, and reliable rollback practices
• Understanding of access control, secrets handling, release traceability, and operational documentation
• Clear communication and dependable handovers between London and North America teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools or financial-services tech is helpful
