Senior Principal Architect, CTO Office

Overview

In this role you will architect and deliver high-impact AI and agentic systems within IFS CTO Office, contributing from hands-on engineering to shaping technology strategy. You will work across frontier AI initiatives, production-grade workloads, and enterprise integration, collaborating with executives and customers. You’ll move fast to turn ideas into production solutions and then scale or hand over those capabilities. This is a high-signal, high-responsibility role designed for impact across the company and its customers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and delivery on top-priority technical projects
• Write and review production code daily
• Design and ship agentic and LLM-based systems with retrieval, evals, guardrails, and security
• Tackle unfamiliar codebases and domains quickly to deliver real outcomes
• Hire, coach, and raise the technical bar for a small team of applied AI engineers
• Brief executives and senior customer stakeholders on technical outcomes and commercial implications

Key requirements

• 15+ years building software with production-scale architecture ownership
• Hands-on with PRs, debugging agents, and shipping code
• Deep applied AI capability across production agentic systems, RAG/Graph RAG, MCP, and multiple model providers
• Ability to articulate and implement an evaluation strategy for LLM systems
• Experience operating AI systems at enterprise scale (not just PoCs)
• Proven track record delivering across domains, stacks, and time pressure
• Experience hiring engineers and raising a team’s technical standard
• Strong written and spoken communication at executive level
