Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will lead the commercial delivery for a major water infrastructure project within Thames Water’s AMP8 framework. You will work closely with operations, design and client teams to control costs, manage procurement, and handle NEC contract administration, driving changes and final accounts. This long-term assignment offers stability, progression, and visible impact on a flagship scheme. You will shape commercial performance across work packages and build strong stakeholder relationships within a regulated infrastructure context.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of water infrastructure works across the project lifecycle
• Administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events and change control
• Cost forecasting, reporting, and commercial risk management
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and supply chain partners
• Supporting junior members of the commercial team
• Building effective working relationships with Thames Water and project stakeholders

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor role
• Background in water treatment, utilities, or major infrastructure projects
• NEC contract experience (NEC3 and/or NEC4)
• Strong commercial and contractual capability
