Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Overview

As Senior E&I Technician, you will be the go-to expert for electrical and instrumentation maintenance in a complex process environment. You’ll support the maintenance team, own critical E&I tasks, and guide technicians during planned and reactive activities. The role focuses on maintaining plant reliability and improving maintenance standards within a well-established renewable fuels site. You’ll work Monday–Friday days, with opportunities to influence shutdown planning and technical directions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to technical expert for E&I maintenance
• Provide technical guidance and deputise for the E&I Team Leader
• Lead shutdown planning and maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control issues
• Maintain accurate CMMS records and provide technical feedback
• Support apprentices and colleagues with technical coaching

Key requirements

• E&I maintenance experience within oil & gas / chemical / process plant
• Strong knowledge of process control instrumentation (temp, pressure, flow, level, weight)
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
• Confident providing technical guidance and owning maintenance activities
