Renewable Heating Engineer

Overview

In this role you will install, commission, service and maintain Air Source Heat Pump systems for domestic and commercial projects across Birmingham and surrounding areas. You will diagnose faults, optimise system performance, and help grow the engineering capabilities of a fast-expanding renewable energy company. The role combines hands-on field work with ongoing manufacturer training and clear paths into design, commissioning, or supervisory positions. This is a technical position with a strong impact on sustainable heating delivery.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of Air Source Heat Pump systems
• Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues to ensure high-quality performance
• Work in the field across Birmingham and surrounding areas
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer training and progression into technical, design, supervisory or management roles

Key requirements

• Experience as Plumbing & Heating engineer with knowledge of Air Source Heat Pump systems
• Strong technical understanding of domestic heating systems, installations and fault finding
• Relevant Plumbing & Heating qualifications; G3, NVQ Level 3 or ASHP qualifications advantageous
