Senior Planner – Civil Infrastructure

Overview

In this Senior Planner role, you will develop and maintain integrated construction programmes for a large civil infrastructure project. You will work closely with delivery teams to ensure schedules reflect progress, manage risks, and support procurement and recruitment planning. You will act as an ambassador for the company with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in planning and delivery. This is a chance to influence project outcomes within a proven, award-winning contractor and a strong order book.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fully linked programmes with detailed WBS and coded activities for progress reporting
• Input into project risk registers and track mitigation
• Ensure programmes reflect progress and revised forecasts against baseline
• Generate regular status reports for project delivery teams
• Provide materials and plant detail to support procurement planning
• Provide resource information to support recruitment planning
• Ensure programmes cover contractual key milestones
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and delivery processes
• Represent the company to suppliers, stakeholders and customers as an ambassador
• Support delivery of business lifesaving rules

Key requirements

• Main contract experience
• Engineering background (Site/Section Engineer, Agent)
• Solid understanding of ASTA, Primavera P6, MS planning software
• Civil infrastructure project experience
• Minimum three years planning experience, plus site experience
• Progressed from an engineering background
