Security Engineer

We’re supporting a major technology separation programme for a leading UK media organisation, requiring a Zscaler Security Engineer to deliver a complex network security transformation.

This is a hands‑on engineering and delivery role, focused on building and configuring Zscaler environments, implementing security policies and ensuring secure separation of network access between two organisations.

Key Responsibilities as Security Engineer

• Build and configure Zscaler environments across Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Design and implement security policies, access controls and zero-trust network access solutions.
• Support tenant separation, secure connectivity and transitional cross-tenant access.
• Integrate Zscaler with identity providers and support network connectivity requirements.
• Use Terraform to automate and manage Zscaler configurations.
• Collaborate with network, identity and workplace teams to deliver technical changes.
• Produce technical documentation, designs and implementation plans.
• Support testing and readiness activities to ensure the solution is secure and ready for delivery.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZPA.
• Proven engineering and delivery experience implementing and configuring security solutions. A purely operational support background will not be suitable.
• Mandatory Terraform experience, ideally managing Zscaler configuration through Infrastructure as Code.
• Understanding of zero-trust security principles, network security policies and secure access.
• Experience with identity integration, network connectivity and cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate across technical teams and deliver within a complex transformation programme.
