Development Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support the development of Moog’s flight control actuation products, performing early builds and qualification tests to build verification evidence for certification. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop assembly and test processes, set up instrumentation and data acquisition, and contribute to continuous improvement. This hands-on role offers exposure to aerospace testing and the chance to impact certification-ready products. You will operate in a collaborative, quality-focused environment with opportunities to shape testing approaches.

Responsibilities

• Perform early product builds and develop assembly/testing processes for new products
• Conduct risk reduction or design development tests and carry out qualification testing
• Generate test records/reports and investigate test failures using FRACAS
• Set up and run tests with instrumentation and data acquisition
• Contribute to continuous improvement through improved assembly/test processes

Key requirements

• Minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
• Proven capability in build and test of actuation system assemblies or hydraulic products
• Experience in a test environment, especially certification testing (advantageous)
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components; practical engineering skills
• Familiarity with MS Office
• Experience with data acquisition software such as Labview, DasyLAB, and FlexLogger (advantageous)
• Experience in an Aerospace company (highly desirable)
