Overview

As a Surety & Trade Credit Broker, you advise and place Surety Bonds and Trade Credit solutions for clients, supporting existing relationships and driving new business. You will manage placements from enquiry to completion, negotiate terms with insurers, and ensure a high-quality client experience. You’ll collaborate with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders, contributing technical expertise and market knowledge to client growth. Responsibilities

• Place and service Surety Bond and Trade Credit business from inception to completion
• Prepare and present underwriting submissions to the market
• Negotiate terms for competitive client solutions
• Review and interpret financial information and company accounts
• Manage insurer and underwriter relationships
• Support the wider business with technical expertise and market knowledge
• Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Attend client meetings and networking events to generate revenue growth
• Seek underwriter approval on bonds where lines of authority are not in place and keep clients advised

Key requirements

• Experience in Surety or Trade Credit as a Broker or Account Executive (preferred but not essential)
• Strong understanding of trade credit products and market dynamics
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Cert CII or Dip CII qualifications advantageous
