Social Worker – Family Help (Permanent)

Location: Hereford, Herefordshire

Salary: £36,363 – £40,777 (package up to £55,777)

Golden Hello: £10,000

Retention Payment: £5,000

Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are working in partnership with Herefordshire Council to recruit permanent Social Workers into their Family Help service, with one of the most generous welcome packages in the country.

The Role

• Hold a caseload of children and families within the Family Help service, working across Child in Need and Child Protection.
• Complete high-quality assessments, plans and reports within statutory timescales.
• Work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to reduce risk and create lasting change.
• Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, child protection conferences and core groups.
• Ensure the voice of the child is central to all assessments and planning.

About You

• A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Experience within Children’s Social Care (ASYE completed).
• Sound knowledge of Working Together to Safeguard Children and statutory processes.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
