Senior Investment Manager

Overview

As Senior Investment Manager you will manage Beazley’s invested assets and oversee both internally managed and externally managed portfolios. You will work within the Finance – Investments team to shape investment strategy, optimise returns within risk constraints, and oversee manager selection and oversight. The role involves trading across multiple asset classes and currencies, and supporting responsible investment initiatives. You will mentor junior colleagues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain strong investment governance and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal and external fixed income and capital growth investments across rates, corporate credit and securitised credit to maximise returns within constraints
• Trade and portfolio manage internally managed assets across USD, GBP, EUR and CAD rates, credit and equity
• Select and oversee outsourced investment managers
• Manage execution of corporate foreign exchange requirements
• Contribute to development of investment strategy
• Support maintenance and development of investment team processes and controls
• Mentor and develop junior resource
• Support Beazley’s responsible investment aspirations in all aspects of the role

Key requirements

• Clear and demonstrable investment skills with significant front office experience
• Deep knowledge of fixed income and other asset classes
• Broad market, asset class and product understanding
• Thorough understanding of non-life & Lloyd’s insurance investment industry
