Technology Operating (Op) Model Manager

Overview

In this role you will shape and implement technology operating models that unlock business value. You’ll partner with senior technology and business leaders to design strategies, governance and processes, aligning with broader business objectives. You’ll assess maturity, guide modern engineering capabilities, and translate insights into actionable roadmaps. You will lead client teams and collaborators to drive transformation and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect the operating model blueprint with technology and business leaders to unlock value and agility
• Co-create the vision, strategy and design for product/platform structures, organisation, governance and processes
• Shape value cases and roadmaps, aligned to broader business goals
• Advise on and implement modern engineering capabilities (Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Automation, Data & AI, Cloud)
• Conduct Agile and modern engineering maturity assessments to identify improvement opportunities
• Develop actionable roadmaps for large technology transformations using Lean and Agile principles
• Develop area/tech-specific methods and processes to embed new ways of working
• Provide risk insights and mitigation strategies during operating model transformations
• Lead and coach client teams and junior members in adopting new operating models and practices
• Stay informed on industry trends to identify needed new capabilities and changes

Key requirements

• Experience designing modern technology operating models or a background in Data & AI, DevOps or Platform Engineering with advisory focus
• Understanding of modern IT, Data, AI and Cloud operating model components and methodologies
• Understanding of functional architecture and its impact on operating model design
• Curiosity about emerging technologies (Cloud Native, Data, AI, Robotics)
