New Business Account Executive

Overview

In this role you will build and grow a specialist commercial books of business for a market-leading Lloyd’s broker. You will hunt for new opportunities, convert prospects, and engage with businesses across specialist sectors. You’ll conduct risk assessments, present insurance solutions, and negotiate terms with insurers. This position offers setup to own a portfolio from day one with strong earning potential and clear progression.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business opportunities in specialist commercial lines
• Develop opportunities from qualified leads and re-engaged lapsed clients
• Build a book from day one, focusing on new business rather than account management
• Manage a mixed portfolio of Property and Commercial risks
• Build relationships with businesses across specialist industries
• Conduct technical risk assessments and present insurance solutions
• Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms

Key requirements

• Technically sound insurance professional with confidence in new business
• Strong prospecting and networking skills
• Experience in Commercial Insurance, ideally with Property exposure
• Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment
