Overview

As a Solutions Architect for the AWS Industries team, you will partner with major retail and consumer goods customers to design and advocate technology-driven solutions. You’ll build trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders, identify impactful opportunities, and craft scalable architectures and reusable artifacts. You will shape industry solutions, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to platform improvements. This role offers a chance to drive digital transformation in retail through cloud and AI-enabled technology.

Responsibilities

• Promote AWS value and provide architectural/technical support to major retail and consumer goods companies
• Build and own relationships with customers’ senior leaders
• Proactively identify new technical opportunities to impact customer objectives
• Design customer solutions with consideration of trade-offs in extensibility, flexibility, scalability, and maintainability
• Define long-term milestones for customers’ business success
• Share AWS technical knowledge via seminars, hands-on sessions, and workshops
• Transform delivered solutions into reference designs or reusable artifacts
• Own root cause resolution of complex problems for customers or internal issues
• Contribute to AWS platform improvements based on customer feedback
• Be a thought leader within AWS, sharing industry solutions across geographies

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
• Experience in IT development or consulting in software or Internet industries
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
• Knowledge of SAP systems (preferred) ~ SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, etc.
• Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
