Senior Data Analyst

• Analyse training, safety and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and actionable insights
• Collect, validate and maintain data from multiple sources
• Develop and enhance dashboards, reports and visualisations supporting senior decision-making and operational readiness
• Identify efficiency improvements through automation, standardisation and improved reporting processes
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful analytical outputs
• Act as a subject matter expert on analytics tools, reporting best practice and data-driven decision-making
• Mentor colleagues and promote high standards of analytical quality, consistency and continuous improvement
• Present findings through reports, presentations and briefings
• Ensure data security, confidentiality and compliance

Requirements

• Appropriate qualification in a data-related subject (such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience in a Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence or data-focused analytical role within a complex organisation
• Strong skills in collecting, cleansing, validating, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources
• Advanced experience creating dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI and Excel
• Good understanding of data modelling, databases, data architecture and data quality management principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, explain performance and provide evidence-based recommendations
• Knowledge of AI-enabled analytics, data pipelines and the data requirements needed to support AI solutions
• Experience mentoring colleagues and confidently communicating technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level
